Ultrasounds & Biometry
Janus Biometer/Pachymeter
- Janus is a portable unit for ultrasound biometry, thickness of the lens, anterior chamber depth and corneal thickness.
- Very compact device that can be connected to any PC equipped with a USB port
- Janus comes in a valuable and compact case in which the accessories and the two probes for biometry and pachymetry are set.
- The 10 MHz biometry probe can be used manually, mounted on the guide of a slit lamp or in immersion with the appropriate cup.
- The 50MHz pachymetry probe ensures an excellent resolution and the possibility to detect corneal thicknesses of less than 100 micron.
PIROP
A-SCAN – Ocular Lens biometrics:
Digital ‘A-scan’ tool for ophthalmology, biometry and lens power calculation of intra-ocular implants.
B-SCAN – Eye examination:
Modern ‘B-scan’ tool for ophthalmology, interior eyeball imaging, retina, optical nerve …
CCT- PACHYMETER (P-SCAN) – Ocular cornea biometrics :
Up-to-date ultrasonic pachymeter used to measure the thickness of the eye’s cornea (glaucoma screening and refractive surgery), with a very high sampling frequency –400MHz (a significant increase in measurement accuracy – ≤ 2 μm). Corneal pachymetry is an important test in the early detection of glaucoma (central corneal thickness CCT), and it help also surgeons by providing graphical surgical plans to eliminate corneal astigmatism.
